This is a summer beer, and it is not summer time. Gonna have to re review this one while chillaxing in the pool or playing a game of bags this summer, but it was in my mixed pack so I had to throw down a review on it.
About Blue Moon Brewing Co.

About Honey Moon
Honey moon is a seasonal summer ale from the Blue Moon Brewing Company. The beer features notes of honey and orange to compliment it’s wheat grains. Contains 5.6% ABV so it isn’t a pushover. And has literally no bitterness at at.
My Review
My timing on reviewing this beer is off as it is a summer beer, but it came in my mixed pack so I have to review it. We will hope that I stumble across it again during the right season so that my hatred for this beer lessens some. Yeah, this beer is awful, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves. On to the full review.
This beer pours nicely as you can see from the picture above. It is golden with a hint of orange in color, it actually reminds me of apple juice, but with a nice big head on top of it. The first thing that got me though was the smell, if you stick your nose in the glass you can taste the sweetness before it ever touches yours lips.
Although hesitant I decided to taste it. I wish I wouldn’t of, this beer is awful. It tastes like you took a piece of wheat toast and soaked it in honey for about an hour. Then took that soggy mess and rolled it in sugar and then topped it in more honey. This beer gave me a cavity within minutes of drinking it and left me looking for something to rinse my mouth out with.
I guess this beer could be refreshing on a hot summer day when you have a taste for some sweetened tea or something, but in my book it is a major pass.

So what your saying is pictures are deceiving?
Looks tasty… on a side note the new kitchen looks great!
Like I said it wasn’t my style beer. But it might be different on a hot summer day.
Thanks for the compliment on the kitchen.
i have had the other blue moon flavors and they are nice to drink. I have not had the pleasure on having the honey one. I’ll have to try this one during the spring/ summer months.
Hey Jay,
Next time I can get Robbie to get me a mixed case I will pull one out for you if there are any.
Adam
thanks adam. I love to drink it, as well as any other beer on this planet.

Well then you should try this one! This is the bluemoon-winter ale and I enjoyed it very much tonight. I don’t remember if one was in the case or not but lemme know what you think of that one.
Robbie,
There is one in the case. I figured I would have to wait on it though. I don’t want to do to many Blue Moon’s in a row.
Adam
1. Blue moon-winter ale
2. Sam adams-winter lager
3. Fat tire-amber ale
I drank these last night and ranked them according to my own personal satisfaction.
Bluemoon Summer ale has a great taste, with a hint of honey and orange peels.
Much better than a lemon Summer ale , like Sam adams. Bluemoon is a wheat ale, that pours really nice, with a nice thick head. I beleive it is a gold metal winner!
