You know we’ve put up some articles regarding NASCAR and its rule’s to police themselves during disputes. We’ve gathered your thoughts and comments and respect them whole heartedly. However, take a look at this….
Washington Capitals forward Alex Ovechkin absolutely pushed Blackhawks Brian Campbell from behind. Campbell has NO chance to protect himself and ends up injured. FYI… Campbell was scheduled to see doctors on 3/15/2010.
There is no room in sports for people like Ovechkin. Apparently this guy is a habitual offender and this instance only nets him a suspension for two games. The heat and adrenaline of sports is unmatched. However…..There is no room in my book for trying to hurt someone on purpose. That’s my take and hopefully yours too.

You bet that’s my stance too!! If you haven’t heard Campbell is out the rest of the season, (broken collar bone) 7-8 weeks. Asshole Ovechkin gets a 2 game suspension. I say a least a season without pay and potential banishment from the league upon further review because you’re right, he is a habitual offender in these types of gutless cowardly acts.
I am going to take the same stance as I did with Edwards. As long as the move is legal and the penalty is served then there is nothing wrong with it.
The intent wasn’t to hurt Campbell and if he hadn’t broken his collar bone nobody would care about the hit Ovechkin put on him. Just as if the car hadn’t flipped then no one would have cared that Edwards spun him.
The move isn’t legal. It was called on the ice for boarding. And he’s a repeat offender for boarding. If the league was somewhat consistent he’d be out for 4-10 games but because he’s a star he only got 2. This year they are really going to have to look at Colin Campbell’s job and the horribly inconsistent calls he’s made. Ovie gets 2 games but Matt Cooke and Downie get NO games? And Lapierre gets 4 games? If you see the hits you’ll know this is nonsense
