The Pittsburgh Playas

Lets Talk about the Pittsburgh Playas. As if Big Ben and his “transgressions” (I had to throw a jab at Tiger) weren’t enough … now they have some Santonio Holmes drama. Holmes’ accuser filed a civil lawsuit last week. In the suit it alleges Holmes intimidated a woman into not filing a police report after she reportedly was a cut or had an abrasion on her face, at a Florida nightclub during a fight over a seat in the VIP area.

Now listen I understand women (and some guys too….) are absolutely going to put themselves in unbelievable situations to get close to professional athletes. I mean let’s be honest with one another, if she didn’t know who Holmes’ was, I’m sure he made it known, when he walked to the club. Professional athletes are forgetting they are just that …..athletes. I know Rothlisberger and Holmes both have Super Bowl rings, MVP’s, and a slew of other awards, but when it comes to living the Cash Money Records lifestyle they are gonna get called for “HOLDING” every time and they should know it. Ben sure did (twice in fact), what good does it do for your reputation, to put yourself in these Public Relations nightmares. Maybe MLB’s Texas Ranger’s, Josh Hamilton, has it right by keeping someone close by (on the payroll) to remind you that you shouldn’t let yourself (As Tiger would say……)transgress! How long is it before Professional Sports Teams, place LIFESTYLE restrictions into contracts that go beyond, the norm?

Players are people first and foremost and people makes mistakes. I however, being famous, know that I shouldn’t act a fool in the public amongst the common folk.
