What the Hell Was That Chicago?

So yesterday sucked. The Sox win, the Cubs lose, and the Blackhawks forgot they were in the playoffs. Looks like somebody spent a little too much time with their shirts off impressing mildly attractive women while drinking cheap champaign in the back of a limo again. Patrick Kane I am looking in your direction.

The White Sox improved their pretty dismal record to 5-9 yesterday on the back of their ace John Denks (2 – 0) who threw a gem giving up 2 hits and 1 run in 8 innings taking down the red hot Rays (10-4). The Sox offense provided 4 runs of support for Denks with home runs from Jones and Konerko which was more than what the Sox needed to pull out the win. Now I don’t like the Sox so this is part of the problem Chicago, we need the North side winning and the South side losing I am not sure if you remember the civil war but I hear history repeats itself so lets give that a try.

But as we all know that rarely happens, and us lovable losers were sitting up north watching our Cubbies put on another piss poor performance in which our “ace” went 6 innings and gave up 2 runs. Then, what I will now refer to as our bullshit, instead of bullpen gave up another 2 runs to help cement the victory for the Mets. The Cubs offense continues to struggle putting up a whopping 0 runs on 3 hits which will keep them at 2nd to last in runs scored in the National league on the year.

And finally the Blackhawks got beat up by the Predators last night in a 4-1 loss in which the Hawks look pretty pitiful. The Hawks now trail 2 -1 in the series with the Predators.Nashville has successfully been able to shut down one of the highest scoring offenses in the league for the 2nd time in 3 games. Looks like I might have to shave this playoff beard off as it seems to be hurting the Hawks more than it is helping them. Maybe quality is more important than quantity when it comes to the playoff beard.
