ESPN reports that Lebron James told Larry King in a taped interview set to air Friday, that the Cleveland Cavaliers have the edge over teams like Chicago, New Jersey, New York. Like it or not Lebron has to say this! So don’t lose hope Chicago!!! If he doesn’t then he is the guy that wants a trade and its makes his coming 100 million dollar contract a little harder to swallow. Lebron James is the new golden boy of marketing, his face, his speech, even his likeness is gold. (You should check out fanbrew’s Lebron Hope Tee)
Lebron is Lebron and what Lebron wants Lebron gets. I hope Cleveland has an edge when he is talking to Larry King, but I’m prayin’, when LeBron’s talking to his agent, the edge is in favor of the Chicago Bulls.

Of course he said Cleveland has the edge. He’s from that area, to this point he’s played his entire career there and he knows the people are praying their asses off that he will come back.
If he were to say the Bulls (or any other team) have the advantage it would devastate an entire fan base and show a total lack of respect for the organization that has gone out of its way to make him happy (why do you think they fired Mike Brown). Not only would he be in the most coveted free agent ever, but he would be in the running for jackass of the year.
The real team that has the edge is the team that can convince him they are his best shot at winning all those rings he says he so desperately wants. Who’s to say that’s not Cleveland.
