Will The Bulls End Up Empty Handed?

They talked they talk, walked the walk, and got everybody’s hopes up.  But now the Bulls my be walking away empty handed from this years monster off season of free agents.

ESPN’s Chris Broussard broke the news that a source says Bosh and Wade will be announcing today that they will be teaming up in Miami to try to take the Heat to a championship. Read more here.

So what does this mean for Chicago?  In my opinion you can say bye bye Lebron.  I have always felt that the only way Lebron was coming to Chicago is if he was able to get a sidekick to come with him.  He wanted a Wade or Bosh to be the Robin to his Batman, the Lancelot to his Arthur, the cementing piece to bring his championship dreams together in a major market city. But with both of those guys out I think Cleveland is now and has always been the front runner for LBJ.

Lebron is a good guy, he seems to care about the fans of Cleveland because he is a fan of Cleveland.  It isn’t just his home town it is his town.  Lebron can’t get more famous. He is known the world over and a major market team isn’t going to bring him more fame, it may have brought him more endorsements, but he isn’t really lacking in that department to start.  Chicago isn’t going to bring LBJ more championships, not without the extra help that seems to have just left for Florida.  LBJ has it made in Cleveland. He is going to get the money, the endorsements, and the fame. So you tell me, what reason does he have to come to Chicago now, and if he doesn’t come what happens to the Bulls then?

I personally never thought LeBron was going to come to Chicago. He always kind of recognized that the best we could offer him championship-wise was Cleveland, part 2.

      Chris,

I always thought Chicago had a chance as long as somebody else was coming with him. Lebron has a 61 win team in Cleveland and a new coach. In Chicago he would have the same thing. The only think missing was another big name player and it looks like that piece of the puzzle is still missing. So my money is that he stays in Cleveland.
