The Bulls Will Win 53 Games Without Lebron

The day has finally come for Lebron James to bring his media circus to a close. Tonight LBJ will be hosting his “the decision” press conference on ESPN to tell the world where he plans to gather up his hundreds of millions for the next few years . Unfortunately for the Bulls it seems Chicago is kind an afterthought now that Wade and Bosh have announced their plans to team up in Miami.  In my opinion all signs point to Lebron staying in Cleveland. The likelihood that he is going to go on national TV and destroy his hometown is slim to none, but there are still some rumors of him heading to Miami to team up with Boris and Natashsa.

With the idea of LBJ coming to Chicago pretty much gone I am not going to say I told you so and reference my article titled Lebron is not coming to Chicago, instead I am going to be Peter Positive and predict that with the Bull’s acquisition of Carlos Boozer they are going to win 50+ games next year.

“[Boozer] gives the Bulls something they don’t have, a legitimate low-post scorer,” Kerr said. “I really love Chicago’s bigs with Noah and [Taj] Gibson, but more as defenders and rebounders. The ability to throw the ball down to the block when they needed a basket was missing from that team for a long time — even four, five years ago when they were playing through [Ben] Gordon and [Kirk] Hinrich, that was always the weakness. So they’ve really addressed that and balanced out the team considerably.”

So now the Bulls have an up and coming All Star is Rose, a 2 time All Star in Boozer, Noah and Gibson, and one of the greatest defensive minds to ever coach in the NBA Tom Thibodeau fronting next years regular season and playoff run. So I ask what else do the Bulls need to become a championship caliber team?  A bonifide shooter! Paxson and company now need to get off their butts and use some of that cap space to find themselves a scorer. Somebody that can push them over the top and help the Bulls push past the 1st round of the playoffs.

Yeah, I was wondering what you were going to say about the playoffs. I will give the Bulls 50+ games with Boozer, but the question is will they get out of the first round playoffs and I definitely think the second round is going to be trouble. They may eek by the first round depending on who they are playing, but they need more to make a run.

Maybe they should wait for next year and try and grab some of those free agents.

  2. Would be sweet revenge if the Bulls were to win a championship without him, watch for Miami to suffer from celebrititis … the infection of having too many egos and not enough team.

You know those group of guys they got including LeBron won an Olympic Gold Medal and Kobe was on the floor too….I think they could co-exist, I was just hoping it would be here at home!

Same Olympic team 1 set of games earlier and egos clashed causing the US to be embarassed.

Too many superstars is a bad thing. You have too many guys fighting over the same ball and you see everyone’s stats go down.

To me Chicago is the obvious place to go. We have more than Cleveland and he will be the dominant player.

But we will find out tonight.
