Sorry ladies and gents…I gotta ask the question. I’ll be honest I picked up Ben Roethlisberger in week 1 of my Yahoo Fantasy Football League.And I’ve been holding him ever since for this very question….My question everyone is do I start him?
Just a brief background here for the fans in the peanut gallery who have been on Mars and haven’t heard that “allegedly” Ben Roethlisberger had some mis-conceptions what the word “no” meant. Thats all I’m sayin about that! Subsequently he was benched by the NFL for what was deemed as a violation of the personal conduct policy and suspended for four (4) games. Now that Roethlisberger has served his “time.” He is officially been named the Pittsburgh Steelers starting QB for week 6.
The Pittsburgh Steelers are facing the be-leagued, 1-4, Cleveland Browns at home. The Steelers on the other hand have posted an impressive 3-1 season so far without Big Ben, and only trail the Baltimore Ravens by only one (1) game, after coming off their BYE Week.
In my particular fantasy “situation,” I have Tony “Overthromo” Romo, as my QB, who will be facing Brett Favre (maybe; sore elbow, or maybe *ick, after taking those pictures….sorry I had to hate on Favre) and the Minnesota Vikings. Although the Dallas Cowboys have only a 1-3 record, “Overthromo” is scoring more in my fantasy league than he did with Jessica Simpson! What do I do?

I sit him this week. He is playing his first game of the season and didn’t play much in the pre-season. I think the Steelers will easy Ben back into things and rely heavily on Rashard Mendenhall and their ridiculous defense. If Ben comes out and has a good game then you can debate whether or not to play him next week. For now, you have an idea of what to expect from Romo so go with that.
Yeah, glad I listened to swami here, Ben threw for 3 today !!!!
