Thank goodness… I can not be the first to say this. Mike Martz’s genius can go somewhere else. Today 1/3/11 is a new day! Mike Martz resigned moments after Jerry Angelo was let go. The Bear’s are currently courting according to sources Ted Thompson. Thompson has the credentials…and he’s not done with football. Can we only hope?
What are our chances? Green Bay Packers Coach Mike McCarthey has been quoted as saying, “Ted built this house,” “He is responsible for everything that goes on.” We as Bears fans can only hope. ESPN.com reported earlier, “It starts up top with Ted and players and the personnel department,” veteran defensive lineman Ryan Pickett said. “They do a good job of bringing in players. Somebody gets hurt, and they bring in a guy where there’s almost no drop-off. We have a lot of talent on this team. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen this much, as long as I have been playing. There are players all over this team that were overlooked by other teams.”
